Wink Handgun holster recommendations

Has anyone had luck mounting a handgun holster inside the E90 M3?

Looking for brand/model recommendations to hold a Glock 23. Thanks!

Check out the recent thread about the first aid kit compartment that can be installed under the front seats. I'm trying to find out the dimensions, but I'd bet it could easily and discreetly hold a compact or sub-compact handgun.

Looking for quick access, if needed (would have mounted the third one upside-down):

But NOT this:

Why choose one when you can have them all?

I'm a big fan of .357 SIG and 9mm in 147gr JHP

I like .40...seems like a good balance between 9mm and .45. But for a car gun, where size doesn't really come into play I would prefer a .45. You want something that can smash through glass and still have enough energy to do some damage.

under the front seat out of sight would probably be best....anyways, is a gun really needed in the first place? never understood the reason to stay strapped 24/7

What for? I'm 30 years old and was a competitive Thai boxer for years and never once have I needed to smash my shin into someones rib cage outside of a squared circle, let alone need a gun.

But whatever man, do whatever floats your boat!

Most people will never have to deal with someone attacking them. Just because it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean it can't happen to you. Or anyone else. There's this stupid idea going around that gun owners live in fear But it's quite the opposite...should anything ever happen they'll be the one's prepared for it.

And it's great and all that your a Thai boxer, but I doubt your boxing can stop a bullet from coming your way. How do you defend yourself from someone 20 feet away?

You never know when you may need it.

" I was driving in my X6 under the speed limit one day headed to run errands. A Mexican child darts dead in front of me trying to catch her mother who was trying to cross a 6-lane overpass/bridge( dont ask me why). Fortunalty I was paying attention as even a glance at the Nav or the like would have cost me a few milli-seconds. So I slammed on my brakes missing the child. I step out of the vehicle to ensure the child is ok and make sure the mother is tracking on here location. At this point 8-9 mexican's begin to approach my vehicle. I retreat to my vehicle as a few of them begin to rock and pound on the X6. One of them starts pounding on my window and trying to open the drunk. He is drunk off his ass. I avoid conflict at every chance but at this point I can't escape so I'm not going to wait till they get something harder than their fists. I keep a glock .45 acp in the center console and procedd to unlimber it. I roll down the window and nothing says stop what your doing like a big bore .45 with 185 +p ammo in your face. I tell the "gentlemen" to back off and remove his friends from surrounding my car. One guy with more presence of mind than the rest starts frantically getting his friends away and says in English sorry, sorry. I drive away no worse for ware.

So the point is you never know when or where you may have to defend yourself. As the U.S. continues to trade away it's 1st world status to a 3rd world one this will only get worse.

Wouldn't this be considered a concealed weapon? Assuming you all have permits for such a thing (which are hard to get, right?). I mean I have no issues getting a weapon since I have a clean background, but the permit to carry/conceal is a bit tricky, no?

Then again I suppose I could just carry it anyway, and if I ever get pulled over and the cop sees it I would fully expect my face to meet the asphalt in a quick fashion...

Receiving training and certification for a CCW Permit is a very straight-forward process in Texas.

We also have the right to protect our property, as well as our personal safety down here. We are also allowed to defend each other's as well.

Yes, they're difficult to obtain (not impossible though!). Laws vary state by state. The best thing to do if you happen to carrying (I'm assuming legally for purposes of this conversation) is to place your hands on the window sill and inform the officer of this fact. This removes the threat and gives him the chance to evaluate the situation appropriately. Best advice I can give anyone is to know the laws in their state - and any other state they happen to be driving through - if carrying a firearm so that you can be in compliance... and prevent roadrash on your face.
