2005 X5 issues

I have a 2005 X5. it runs great for many years. recently the oil consumption drops from 18.8MPG (very consistent both at highway and locally) to 18.0 MPG. I am wondering if this indicate some problems, such as buildups on engine valves, or other reasons... any ideas?

Ever have a tune up? New spark plugs/plug wires/air filter, etc. might do wonders for fuel economy.

Ever check your tire pressure?
