I seen this suit when I was looking at m3 complaints etc on google a while ago, I had another bookmark but I think I deleted it.. It showed all the steps of the court procedure thus far, like bmw trying to dismiss the case

I hope bmw gets it and everyone of you benefits

Subbed. I feel like all owners with a working S65 should get new rod bearings and if you can prove you've had bearings replaced, get a check for $2500

Can you imagine if BMW has to make the preventive repair to all vehicles. Will take much longer than the dreaded air bag recall.

Should have thought of that when they decided to mass produce the S65

That's true Koo. I for one will be owning my E92 forever so I can wait for BMW to make the fix. I Have had my 1978 Chevy C10 Big Ten for over 10 years and plan on taking both vehicles to my grave.

At the end of the day, this is all we really care about. I hope the plaintiffs get some level of satisfaction and are made whole, but at the end of the day, if everyone else gets a check for $35, I don't know how that helps. So yeah, I hope these legal proceedings result in something meaningful for all owners.

That'll mean it's cost bmw 17.3 Mil based on repairs costing 3k for every M3 produced. Remember BMW charges a hell of a lot more for this repair and that repair would be with what? Factory bearings which have failed? I don't have my hopes up for anything here

Don't forget the S85 equipped crowd. They aren't gonna go quietly if the amputated twin is getting action.

Is this something that any legal people on the forum can look into on their own or is it private information not open to the public at this point?

The Volkswagen buy back was phenomenal. My wife had the Passat TDI 6MT and she loved that car. But she liked the idea of basically driving it for free for over a year since they offered her $9,463.45 to buy the car back. However the actual particulars were, all I can say is that VW came through.

As a side note she had only driven manuals her whole life and felt that the DCT was a far superior driving experience than the 6MT. I had to throw that in there.

Nobody got a postcard to join the class action law suit about two weeks ago? I'll try and take pictures of it and post it when I am home tonight.
