Rod Bearing service in Michigan

Looking for a reputable shop to do the Rod bearing service here in Michigan.
Preferably SE Michigan. The car will be on a trailer to be here sometime next month.
Please let me know and look forward to meeting more M owners next year!
Thanks

I can personally recommend Dixon Motorsports in Wixom - they've done rod bearings for my E46M and i know they have done them for other E9X and E46 customers

Small shop, but good people who do good work at reasonable prices

FWIW I used BE bearings and ACL studs - i know this is a hotly debated topic, so YMMV

Thank you for the advice.
I plan on taking it to them when the car arrives here.

is this the kit to use? I'd like to use BE as well.

Check with Abdul at MPowerMotorsports. He was based in the Detroit area. He does sell bearing sets. May also be able to recommend place to install.

I believe so, I ordered mine directly from BE as all of the stores were out of stock at the time. Give Dixon a call, they might have some bearings and hardware in the shop as well

Did you get BE bearings installed in your s65 m3 at Dixon? They did have ACL bearings in stock. However, I did go ahead and order FCP euro oil kit + BE/arp bolts from ECS, something with BE sits better in my head. I will probably get them done sometime end of feb/early March. Took a contract nursing job so I'll be busy for few months.
Once I get them done, I will do a revisit and review!

They did BE bearings on my E46M during a big maintenance job, including replacing the entire VANOS system with a Dr.Vanos kit i supplied. Since then i've put about 1000miles on the car, mostly hard miles on track, and everything is working perfectly. Oil analysis shows great.

My E90 has not had bearings done yet as the miles are pretty low - when i have them do it, though, it'll be BE bearings.

I'm in Milford, pretty close to Dixon. I think there's a few meetups in the area. There's the Grand Rapids one, and some Facebook groups in AA & Detroit area for BMWs in general.

I'd love to get a group together and go to a track day at Waterford Hills. It's a great place and pretty low speed, technical track that isn't very hard on cars for those who are concerned.

+1 on this. I love Waterford Hills, taken my car a few times there. I would definitely join if an E9X M group goes & if my schedule allows to.

I had my M3 at Waterford Hills in Aug 2020 on an open track day. I'd definitely do it again.

Just got my car back from Dixon. BE/ARP has been swapped into the car. Car had 48,3xx miles when this service was performed. Everyone there was extremely nice and pleasant to work with. Took 2 days to get the car back, dropped it off first thing Monday morning and brought it back home after alignment around 3pm. It's great to have that peace in me that the achilles heel of the e9x gen m3's has been resolved.
Heres to driving 500 miles somewhat soft!

If you don't mind can you message me and let me know approximate cost for rod bearing service and alignment at Dixon?

Regards
Christopher.

Happy to hear you had a good experience - those bearings look to be in pretty good shape, but as you said, that peace of mind is so worth the cost! Especially now given current market prices for these cars and S65s - I remember when you could still find them on copart for cheap....

yeah.. prices on these are getting very expensive. Met up with a couple of local e92 m3 owners at Pasteiner's last week. They also recently bought them and as you said, their prices were high up.
So was mine though but 0 regret
