Do I have to buy a tune to bypass CEL
For a full cat delete? Will I need to get some o2 sensors back in the exhaust setup and buy a tune so I can delete the light?
Any other way around this would be greatly appreciated!!!! Current note on my Akra-knock off homemade header back exhaust- dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/py4rbhcn9k...80p-1.mov?dl=0 Last edited by Wakesurfer; 01-17-2019 at 08:44 AM.. |

You could try some anti-foulers for the rear o2 sensors if you can fit them. They're about $30 on Amazon. Worked on mine with stock tune and HFC's.

o2 simulators or you can try extenders but those tend to still cause CELs eventually.

You don't need to buy a tune, which are quite expensive.
You can write (flash) altered calibration files yourself with relatively inexpensive tools like a KessV2 clone. If you don't want to invest the time to learn about the structure of these files and what to modify, just use this cheap, user-friendly app to modify the file for you: https://www.ecuworx.co.uk/2018/04/01...tool-released/ Keep in mind that these alterations (the same as the ones in a tuner file) keep the CEL light from coming on by preventing ODBII readiness. Many states allow one flag to be not ready. So you pass inspection with Cat not ready as long as O2 sensor, sensor heater, evap etc are set. |

In MA the inspection for a salvage vehicle to obtain a title is much more extensive than the yearly inspection required for normally titled and registered vehicles. They actually look at all kinds of things - if they spot test pipes, you're done for whether a CEL is lit or not. |

I don't have a tune from this source (or any other) but people seem to like it and it's 'only' $620 which is several hundred less than other reputable tuners |
