Just Passing Through -- I-40/I-30 enforcement?

So I'm being relocated from Alexandria, VA to Lubbock, TX. My wife and I (and our two dogs) will be driving through w/our X5 w/a Thule Terrapin Cargo container out back and my M3 loaded up.

How's enforcement through TN and AR? Last time we did this (2010), all I remember were the truck races where one truck had its cruise control set at 0.00001mph faster than the other truck. Annoyed the piss out of us.

I don't remember really aggressive enforcement, but I'd prefer to just be under the radar, so to speak, as we traverse these states. What are current conditions and are there any standard speed trap areas out there?

Thanks!

TN is usually pretty lax. Hopefully you have a good Radar detector as most of the staties use Ka radar and county yocals use K radar rarely buy Ka is big. If you are looking to stay conservative, 10 or less over and they will pay you absolutely no mind. 10-15 is iffy. Above 15 most certainly. TN doesnt have quotas so they are pretty chill 90% of the time. Now as for VA, be careful, super aggressive and anything over 80 is reckless even if the speed limit is 70 FYI. 81 is always stupid hot with cops no matter what time of the day. I live in TN and used to live in the DC area so I have traveled that road many of days!

Thanks! All too aware of the VA revenue machine and their ridiculous reckless misdemeanor for a a smidge over the limit. I remember my drive in from Vegas a couple of years ago. More police in the first 100 miles of VA than every mile prior to that combined! That’s nuts.

Both vehicles will have V1’s that are updated as of a few years ago.
