Will my car play Spotify from my phone?

Hi all,

Looking into a '10 E90 M3 and was wondering if it'll play spotify from my phone either through Bluetooth or AUX. Or will it need something else to do this?

Was able to run down the options list and found this concering infotainment:

688 Harman/kardon Surround Sound System
615 Extended Bmw Online Information
6AA Bmw Teleservices
609 Navigation system Professional
620 Voice control
6FL Usb-/audio Interface
614 Internet Preparation
616 Bmw Online
7HE Connectivity package
6AB Control Teleservices
633 Prep.mob. Ph. Business Bluet.interf.

Cheers,
Arno

It does not appear that you have the Combox option. So you will not be able to stream music from phone to iDrive by default.

You can retrofit Combox which is a bit expensive but you will be able to use steering wheel controls and see track info in iDrive.

A cheaper option would be to get a USB aux Bluetooth dongle and plug that into the aux port inside your center armrest. You can stream music thru Aux input in iDrive, but quality will not be as good as Combox and you cannot change tracks using steering wheel controls.

Thanks! I'll look into the Bluetooth device (as a temporary option perhaps)
