2013 e92 M3 oil consumption

I have an e92 M3 with 19k miles. I've only had the oil changed at the dealer and after they switched away from the castrol M oil to the new stuff it started using oil. Previously the engine never consumed oil and now it's consuming at least 1 liter per thousand miles. The head BMW mechanic said normal on the s65 is up to 2.5 liters per thousand miles. Whaaa?

Anyone know what's going on?

Thanks

You might add that much in a 5000 mile oil change but not in 1000 miles.

I'm at 116K miles and I go a full 5K miles and maybe will drop from the top line just down a little. My car has been using LiquiMoly for most of it's life...

You've confirmed no leaks? like OFHG?

you might want to find if there is any oil leak. Dealer should not make such stupid mistake. But I have seen improperly tighten filter cap resulted in seeping

I have been using BMW's 10w-60 for the past 10K(2 changes), barely any consumption. But my previous castro dropped 1/2L after 5K+ miles. It is really unlikely the oil being the problem

Thanks for the replies.

Dealer confirmed no leaks but I'll bring it back and ask them to double check especially OFHG.
