Looking forward to your review. Would love to hear how they fair on the streets too.

Quick update - just got the car back today and I'm very pleased! Yes the ride is more firm but is not harsh in any way. What I mean is I feel more imperfections in the road but the big bumps do not transmit into the car/seat. Stiffness is somewhere close to the "sport/firm" EDC setting. Body roll is virtually nil, very good body control, brake dive is significantly reduced and the stance is perfect. Will post up some pics after I get the car cleaned up.

So from a street perspective - this kit is awesome! I don't use that word very often as I've seen/had lots of performance mods that were long on promise and short on results. This setup really is transforming in nature from a driving experience on the street. We'll have to see what the track performance is like next weekend. I have high expectations!

Thx,
BC

If I decide to part with my EDC and install coilovers, this is the setup I am getting, hands down. I had the Stasis/Ohlins Motorsport coilovers on my Audi, and I must say, after having such a high quality setup with high end dampers, I have been spoiled and will always look for a similar setup. I have no doubt that the Moton setup is right there, if not better.

Do it! I was not sure about getting rid of the EDC but now I'm glad I did. I've had cars that were just too damn stiff to live with and I'm gettin' old so I did not want a repeat of previous experiences. This setup is really nice - just wish it cost a little less....

I'm very interested in this setup also. Just curious what are you guys with EDC doing to eliminate the error codes? I know KW makes some rather large boxes that plug in. Do you have to but those separately? Does this Moton Street Sport kit come with something to take care of eliminating the EDC?

Thanks,
Royce M

Hi,

The KW sims are what I'm going to use as the Moton kit does not include a provision for eliminating the error code. The sims were supposed to be in yesterday and I'm going to the track this weekend and the bimmerworld guys are going to install them when I see them there.

Another anecdotal point here is even my wife is impressed with this setup. She's suffered through various bilstein and ground control setups over the years and she likes this setup based on ride quality and how flat the car is through the turns. I'm pointing this out to say that even someone who doesn't really care about suspension setups noticed/appreciates the improvement in handling. So at least I'm not hearing about how this was a big waste of $$$!!!

Thx,

BC

Thanks for the info BarryC. As far as you can tell are there any side affects to running with the Moton's without the KW sims in place? What lites up on the dash to tell you that there is an error with the EDC?

Thanks,
Royce M

I get a notice in the display between the speedometer and tach and on the idrive screen. Once you hit the button on the turn stalk once and escape out of the notice on the idrive screen - no more messages until the next star-up. Really isn't a big deal. other than that - no issues.

Thx,
BC

How are the compression/rebound settings adjusted? Do you have any pictures?
