It was pouring today and I didn't have to start cooking turkey yet, so naturally I cleaned the interior. Also cleaned and conditioned the leather. I'll let the conditioner sit a few days while it continues to rain.

^ Ditto, sitting tight with the rainy schedule ahead so I have a thick layer of rubber conditioner (gummi pflege) sitting on mine.

Installed the Remus exhaust. Luv it! Told my self this time around I wouldn't do mods, but...unleashing that V8 sound was too tempting. Bought it specifically for the sound and it's exactly what I was hoping for, a throaty n aggressive tone. Highly recommended. Sounds like a whole new car. 🤘🏼

Went back to stock engine/exhaust configuration for emissions. Immediately threw a CEL first start in stock form...annoyed.

That is like when I see someone say-

Oh man, so sorry to see that your car is totaled, but glad you are still alive. Hey, when you get out of the hospital hit me up, interested in the wheels.

Remus is the overlooked hero in exhausts. It was my second favorite E46 M3 exhaust, and I only took mine off because I got a Gen 3 AA on there. I have Remus on my E92 and its very satisfying. Wait until you take a nice concrete canyon on-ramp with it blasting at full throttle. Make sure you have your windows down for that one.

I still have to put test pipes in and do a re-tune to get more power, but I'm a little concerned about how the character of the sound is going to change with that mod. I'm sure it'll be louder, and it'll probably drone. Still, more hp...

Gorgeous. Which side brackets and floor mounts did you go with? How about the seat belt receptacle? Does it fit through the opening in the seat?

Going to move it out of the garage so I can clean the garage floor then park it again when I'm not feeling lazy. I haven't driven it since October for one day.

Passed the annual inspection/emissions test today. Windows are probably 20%, test pipes, stage 2 tune. I just figured I would try a random generic shop and it passed with flying colors. no clue how?

Make sure you treat it with proper respect and back it into the garage. When the door is open, the M3 needs to be coiled like a snake, ready to strike fear in the hearts of all who happen to see it inside your garage.

I didn't do what I said I would. Though, not a bad idea to clean the interior. Just don't have much free time lately.

I gave it a good run yesterday while everybody else was out shopping. The car was strong and smooth from sea level to ~4K’ elevation, surely the brisk weather helped. It started raining on the way back; I think it’s my first time in the rain with this car. Not because it’s a garage queen, rather because it rarely rains here and it’s a weekend toy/second car. Regardless, it all felt great and was a lot more more fun than a mall.

A few more in my journal/thread. Hopefully these are the last photos with the dark tint.
