Question Error code P2100 what the heck is it? Throttle related?

So yesterday for the first time while driving my car went into limp mode. Engine redline cutoff at 4000 rpm and 5 errors coming up on the idrive screem: Engine reduced power, DSC off, DBC off, Hill Assist off, and Flat Tire Monitor malfunction. The throttle pedal was also sluggish and the car felt slower than a 30 year old Lada. I shut off and restarted the car and it was fine. Then the problem happened again today twice.

I already had a feeling it might be the notorious throttle actuator. So after work I went to Canadian Tire and bought a generic OBD2 scanner and hooked it to the car on the way home. The limp mode problem occurred again and I saw a P2100 error code on the scanner. I restarted the car and the problem occurred a second time. And then I restarted it again and the problem was gone and the scanner showed no error codes. The code cleared itself

I googled this error code and it seems to be some obscure generic code that indicates throttle motor control circuit open or something like that. Would this indicate a throttle actuator problem too? I didn't get any other error code, and definitely not the specific codes that indicate which actuator is the malfunctioning one. I'm assuming any engine-related codes will be picked up by the scanner and that there is no need for the stealership to scan it with their more powerful tool and that they won't detect anything more than what my scanner picks up. Am I mistaken?

So, any ideas? The stealership near my house says they're fully booked for 2.5 weeks and can't check my car. Is there a point in them scanning the car? Will they see more codes that my scantool cannot detect?

I just had code P1628 (2B21) pop up. It is the Bank 1 electromotive throttle-valve actuator predrive check. Codes went away but am preparing to drop $800 on the part.

Dealer told me that BMW picked a really busy time to do a recall on some battery cables (not sure which models and years) and that is why everyone is so backed up on service.

Update: Had the car scanned at an indy shop. It put out a 2B15 error code: Throttle valve actuator governor monitoring bank 1. I ordered the actuator online and will swap it out when it comes.
