It gets the job done. I do miss the M though. It's already parked due to our shit hole weather.

Thank you for the advice gentlemen...I will go with 235 all round...I'm a native Torontonian now living in Chicago and it's nice to see all the Canucks here.

Just put on the Nokkian Hakkepelita R fitted to Beyern Mesh 18s. I'll have to wait until 2010 to see redline again. Last winter the mushy tires didn't let me exceed 6k without concern. Rock solid in nasty conditions tho.

Finally, another fellow Hakka R driver... Yes, like marshmallows but don't you love the grip in the snow? Like the wheels, too - good combo.

I notice a couple of you on here have Dunlop Wintersport 3D tires for winter... do you all have the same problem as me: vibrating/shakey steering wheel at around 65-70mph? I made a thread about it last year and it was a common problem. How long has tirerack continued to recommend these tires? Or was the problem fixed at some point in production?

follow up

one dealer near me suggests 235/40/18 and the second insists I should match the front 245/40/18 and rear 265/40/18 and says they can't do 235...wtf?

My ex... still miss her sometimes... 335xi, dropped on H&R coilover, M6 reps and General Exclaim UHP all season tires. Survived upstate NY winter w/o any issues.

I have those rims for sale in the FS section. They did their duty, but can't beat an SUV.

335i with Tire Rack's standard 17" package/Dunlop snows. Great package, great tires. It will plow snow before stranding you and the handling remains sharp.
