Look on Autotrader. You'll find quite a few within your price range.

Yea but I'm looking to pay cash, I'm trying to avoid paying taxes and other non sense fees so private sale would be ideal, thanks for the suggestion though

I'm pretty sure you still have to pay tax if you buy on AutoTrader or not.

AutoTrader also lists private party vehicles and I'm sure those sellers accept cash.

Yea I've looked, I like to avoid buying from dealers the private sales currently up are out of my price range and as for taxes when you buy from a dealer you HAVE to pay no if and or butts as if I buy from a private sale I can say I purchased the car for XXXX amount of dollars instead of XXXXX amount of dollars catch my drift ?

When you register the car you would have to pay taxes then , so it's the same from a dealer or not

Most states now either use the sale price or nada value whichever is HIGHER. They've found ways around people listing what they bought the car for as much less than what they actually did. I got a good deal on an M3 a year ago and had to pay tax on the nada value because it came in higher. Not sure what NYC is like, but just an fyi.

yea in most cases you do, but when you buy a car out right does the DMV really know what you purchased your car for?

ive swapped my car 5 times in the last year if i were to pay for all the taxes on each car id be the price of a new car, in nyc you have the liberty to write what every you may please, although in certain cases they do investigate if they smell something fishy... im not saying i don't pay taxes on my vehicles, I just try to budget my car expenses where ever i can

now I NEED a CAR someone !?!

They go by the amount you put that you paid for it , and you pay taxes for that amount , but if you put a redicoules low amount you can or will be audited
