That was a proper bearing replacement. Too bad you don't have more pictures, it would interesting to see wear on chain guides, cylinders, and valve train components. From what I have been seeing on this forum is most bearing swaps happen with the engine in the car, I don't think I trust anyone to do that properly. You may have had poor interaction with the SA, but it appears that they do good work.
