I assume everyone knows wider tires are worse in snow and lower profile tires are worse in snow. I run 235/40 and 255/40/18 on the original wheels, and use lighter and wider aftermarket wheels with wider summer tires for April through November.

I'm using the original 220Ms the car came with (since the previous owner scuffed them up and then had the indecency to plastidip them lol).

I also went with a size up because of our shitty New England roads. Also fills the fenders up a bit better than 245/265.

I also really like the look of black on grey, and I do get tempted to get another set of 359's and powdercoat them gloss black, but I like being able to go back and forth. By the time spring rolls around, I'm usually ready to go back to the silver because it's so classic

In snow but not on ice. We are too low to realize much, if any benefit from narrower in snow.

This. I ran OEM sizes on my stock 18s on snow packed frozen roads. No point going too narrow.

This weekend I am probably going to pressure wash off the plasti dip on the 220Ms. I did a pretty shit job touching them up before mounting my winters lol so it gives me the excuse to take a look at the real condition of the wheels.

Yeah, the 220M is a beautiful wheel, especially in gloss black. I need to get a better pic up.

OEM staggered 18-inch 219s with Blizzaks, though I decided to get a used SUV and not put salt on my E90.

Btw and sorry for the silly question, but what color is your E92? Love that blue!

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+, 255/40-18/275/40-18

It’s a get home/cold weather setup.

The real winter sauce is an E30 325iX with 195/60-15 Blizzak WS90s mounted. Because let’s be honest. No M3 is ever going to compete with the joy of fully mechanical AWD in a well balanced chassis.
