Can you really feel comp pack difference?
As in the title... I know the suspension is a little stiffer, but does it actually improve driving dynamics?

It will improve driving dynamics in a track scenario. The ride height is lowered and the suspension retuned. The M dynamic Mode is also retuned for more aggressive driving.
Plus you get the cool wheels and bragging rights

Not worth it if you're going to change suspension in the future to something else. Anyone can just add the wheels to a non comp pack car and tune the diff via software.

Real world? No.
You get a great looking set of wheels and slightly lowered springs. At this point, all but the lowest mileage M3s have worn out shocks, so you're almost certainly going to install something aftermarket to replacement. (Likely with an EDC delete.) Not to mention that 19s are slower than 18s. (And the ZCP wheels are not very strong cast construction.)

Definitely not a big difference.
As said above, competition package was an ok deal when new - it doesn't add much cost to the car when ordering it new - $2,500 for a $70k vehicle. When used, the shocks will need to be replaced anyway due to old age. The 19" Competition wheels look cool but make the car slower than the normal 19" forged wheels and 18" base wheels.

How do you tell the difference between a comp pack owner and a non comp pack owner?………
You don't have to because a comp pack owner will tell you they own a comp pack every 5 seconds. |
