Little Squeaks and Rattles as a car gets older. Tips?

As cars age they begin to loosen up a bit. Little squeaks or rattles start to emerge that were not there before.

E92 M3 owners. Have any of you little tips or tricks be it interior or exterior which you found good to tightened them back up?

Suggestions may help some owners and not others but thought it would be a useful one to share.

Replace broken and worn out interior fasteners and clips (if you tend to take things apart. Replaced dry rot seals and buy some felt tape to use as needed.

Drive louder, although (an in all seriousness), some small things I've done:
  • Put a small rubber hose, like that for slow leak watering, in the rubber seal around the window to stop window squeak
  • Gummi flenge (?sp) on said window seals
  • Taking speedometer console off and putting in additional felt pads
  • Taking iDrive screen off and putting in additional felt
  • Naturally, putting back said console and iDrive screen
  • Finally, there's stuff people do to the rear shelf (additional felt mounts), but I haven't

I seem to have an annoying rattle coming from somewhere inside my passenger seat. Anything in there that can rattle around?

i have a squeaking sound in my trunk area. if my rear seats are folded down i can hear them but when they're up i cant. its sounds like a suspension squeaking but its not because it only makes the noise sometimes.

Add felt to pieces of plastic which may rub another surface and make noise.

Shadowline makes noise even before the car gets old, gummi-pfledge helps with this.

gummi pflege doesn't always resolve the squeaks that's produced by the upper rubber seal around the driver/passenger side window rubbing against the shadowline trim. It did nothing for me, at least.

Follow this owner's simple instruction on youtube to put down some teflon type tape along the trim. My car is now completely squeak-free after the application
