DCTF-1 vs DCTF1+

Hi, I’m not sure if this has been covered or not. I tried searching but I couldn’t find much info. I’ve also posted in the fluid section but no replies.
I want to change out the fluid on my dct tranny. I asked bmw and they said that DCTF-1 has been superseded by DCTF1+.
I’m wondering if anyone knows if it’s safe to run this in our cars?
This is the bottle in question

Same fluids. Anything DCT-F is safe to run on our cars, just make sure you do the final adaptation procedure with ISTA or diagnostic interface.

You can also use Motul or Redline DCTF and save a lot of money.

I didn't have a good experience with Redline DCT-F. Had rough shifts in auto mode. Swapped in Pentosin and haven't had an issue.

Also could have been a tech issue...although the tech is a good looking and super swell guy

sounds more like, adaptations or oil balancing procedure was not done in ISTA+. I've changed so many brands of DCTF fluids in my transmission, no issues when filled correctly and then ista procedures carried out correctly.
