Well worth it - I think I paid $750 for mine (a while back - used, the DC version) and its been awesome. Sold my race ramps and just use the quickjack now. They store low enough that I just push them together and drive over them so they stay on the floor in the garage. $799 brand new is a great deal.

I finally got time to setup the 7000 SLX. This is how E92M look like on it using the 3" blocks came with QJ. The length is just perfect. I raised it to the first locking position and there is enough space underneath for me to craw in and do oil change.

Can you lower the jack and take pressure off the cylinders keeping the car up off the ground for winter storage taking pressure off the suspension? Say for a few months? lol Just curious...

Watch at about the 3:00 minute mark how he lowers the QJ onto the lock and disconnects the hoses.

The car is held up with mechanical lock not by hydraulics. I would say structurely it will be perfectly OK. You might need to watch out when you re-pressurize the hydraulics.

quick question for everyone.
Do you guys buy the jack pad adapter, like a round pad with a rectangle pedestal that goes into car jack pad's rectangular hole? My jack pad is almost flattened out at the bottom.(basically the jack pad is almost at the same level as car skirt) I am thinking if I should replace the jack pad and get the adapters to lift the car properly... Or, should I just use another smaller block about jack pad size.. |

If your BMW jack pads are that flattened, it is likely time to get new ones. Also, you can get rubber jack pad adapters such as these. I have a set and use them when I am using jack stands. I do not use them with quickjack but they would likely work well. Cheers,

The only issue that I have had to date is with leaking connectors. It seems my roommate likes to force things together and damages the o-rings. I need to order some more replacements...
And FYI - these adapters work with quickjack. You will need an adapter for to use the female connectors. IIRC it is an #6 ORB to 1/4" male NPT.

He runs across the border for me to pick up stuff from Sumas when he is over in Vancouver for work. So, I will give the guy a break. But yes, in a perfect world, my roommate would be buying me new connectors. I ordered spares this time.
