Yup, but there is nothing above the drain plugs to worry about. So, go big or go home?

My question is: is the magnetic force strong enough to hold onto the residue in the case of oil pump pumping the oil at its full capacity?
Feel like it could be hazardous for the engine if the accumulation of residue were to be sucked into the oil pickup all at once.

I don’t see that as an issue. I have magnetic plugs in all my cars and there is always fuzz stuck on them when I change the oil. The oil pump pickup is not sucking the fuzz off them.
