Ask some of the other members on this forum for options. They may have a good used engine for you at a significantly lower price than the dealer.

Btw like someone else said you can contact Deansbeamer who usually has rebuilt used engines in stock and it will be much, much cheaper than the dealer

They were original... I am the original owner, bought it new in Germany to celebrate my 20th year in the Army.... brought it to states in 2015 when I retired....

Used engines can be found. The dealer will be ridiculously expensive compared to a good BMW specialist.

On the bright side, you are only 850 miles from Mporium BMW (Deansbimmer). All you need is a friend with a trailer and some time. I say a road trip is in the making!!

BE and VAC bearings seem to be the most used. I went with VAC because BE were backordered but I have read good things on here about VAC. For bolts, I used ARP.

ACL are good also and much cheaper. I think mpower motorsports is working on an ACL bearing and arp bolt kit that should be a lot cheaper.
