Chinese Lunar Calender

Is anyone here familiar with the chinese lunar calender? can you please tell me what dates the "ghost festival" is? i want to know what dates they are on for the Western Calender in 2009. I know it begins the 15th day of the 7month lunar month so i believe that is 9/2/09 on the western calender but i cannot find when it ends. Does anyone know?

it has past already ... i believe the central dates were sept 10 and 11 where you were not suppose to go out past dark

im talking about 2009...i've found on google that it begins either 9/2/09 or 9/3/09 but how long does it last?

umm. how long does it usually last. Is this an annual holiday. cant you go by last years . or you could just call someone thats chinese and ask their moms.

no its not any of the above. the first time I wrote that , i guess it came off as offensive because there was no context with it. all you see was "call your moms and ask her". but what I meant was. I thought he was chinese and all he had to do was ask his mom. or anyones moms in here thats chinese. I'm pretty sure they would know. I wasn't trying to insult him. but I guess he took it the wrong way and I just played on that. haha all these posts and still no answer when does it end. should've taken my advice the first time.
