Won't the heat be an issue for adhesion?

I have some high gloss CF vinyl leftover (I thought mine was "4D", but looks much glossier than the one in video), was debating doing similar for years and just opted not to thinking the heat would be an issue.

Well boys, these cars are officially getting cheap!

You didn't wrap it in carbon fiber. You wrapped them with fake carbon fiber looking vinyl.

On a sidenote, what does everyone think about the technocraft carbon fibre engine bay pieces? There's a thread on it here - http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=363695

Probably a waste of money, right? My car has been sitting in the garage so I'm just looking at random stuff to buy to pass the time.

I did something similar but it was to cover up some minor scuffs/scratches in the gloss black paint. Shame on me.

That's not harsh, that's the TRUTH. It's literally a cut CF stickered onto the parts.

This looks way better than OP.

Wraps *are* sticker jobs.

I'd be concerned about the constant heat in the bay. It's not the same as getting baked in the sun on the outside because the lid traps heat. Keep a close eye on it and make sure it doesn't come loose during a drive or anything. Otherwise I think it doesn't look half bad, but personally I'd reserve it for interior trims.

Oh, and please stop using exclamation points in your OP titles. It's very obnoxious and it doesn't draw more clicks.

Quite odd, post a YouTube video, members respond and ask questions and never a response from OP. Others are saying M3post is just a venue for you to post YouTube videos to get followers. Nothing wrong with that I guess.

Lol, I didn't revive it. The basic theme of my comment was being posted on his other threads. He posts, watch my video and then moves on to something else. There is almost no interaction. Again, nothing wrong with that, it just feels a little lacking on his part. Life is good other than that, the wife and kid are traveling, work is slow but it could be worse, the cars are running great, summer weather is here which is always welcome.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I don't hate the use of a good "carbon-style" vinyl, especially in areas with little to no exposure (i.e. under the hood). Whether it'll last, well, it is to be seen.
But still nothing I would make a video about, maybe something I would post in a "what did I do to my M3 today" thread. But if you need a lot of content, this might be your last resort.
