Exhaust install recommendations

I purchased a new MPE and looking for a reputable shop/person in north Seattle/Lynnwood/Bothell area (north end basically) - does anyone have any recommendations/positive personal experiences to share?

BMW Seattle wants $350ish - sounds spendy to me?

Shoreline Muffler (#1 rated on Yelp) quoted me $100-$120 but the guy is a PITA to get ahold of and now his answering machine says the shop is closed until 7/29.

Woodinville Sports Cars wanted nothing to do with it.

KD Motorsports in Redmond ball-parked the estimate at $200-$500.

What is a reasonable price to pay for this?

It's a very easy job if you have jack stands, jack and basic hand tools. Trick is to leave the hangers on and unbolt the hanger brackets instead, then swap hangers once off the car.

It definitely shouldn't take a shop more than an hour labor, but most will bill book time.

I think my install was around $150 (NYC). It's not super difficult but can be fiddly. I was happy I didn't tackle it myself, although if I had a buddy able to help I think I'd have tried DIY.

Make sure you explain it is just the back box you need installed and it is completely clamp-on (no cutting or welding). The quotes you list appear to be full exhaust install numbers.

I'd go to KD motorsports or do it myself at Stew's garage.

Don't laugh. Midas on 15th in Ballard. I was gonna do mine DIY but my tools were packed in storage and they were available on a Saturday. I think it cost me $180, they were pretty stoked on the car and the exhaust, and they did a great job. Tips aligned perfectly, no issues after install. I can't remember the manager guy's name but he was great.
