Tire Shop In The Westchester Area

Hello Gents,

Can you guys recommend a really good tire shop in the Westchester area?

I have a set of Michelin 4S to mount and balance, and the goal is not to have my ZCP damaged or scratched up.

Thanks in advance!

I've been pretty happy with the local dealer. About $25/tire to mount/install and no scratches plus they take before pics so if anything gets damaged you're made whole.

Are you hesitant to use a local BMW dealer?

Thanks for chiming in. That's great to hear you have had success using your local dealer. Yes! As for me, I'm super paranoid about taking my car to the local dealer, especially since my car is no longer under the factory warranty. In the past, I have gone in for simple maintenance only to bring the car back because they screwed something else up.

Case in point, my wife's Rx350 went in for a complete brake job at the Lexus dealership a week ago, and now when we step on the brakes, there is an obnoxious loud click. I assume the sliding pins or the pads are not seated properly. This lack of quality control I would expect from BMW but not from Lexus. I digress!

Intrack tires in Queens seem to have pretty good reviews. Although they are a bit of hike, I may check them out.

Hi - just go in for tires only, ignore the rest of the add-On's or other suggested services

You should try posting this in other regional forums as well, F80/F82 or F3X. You should get more responses.

Thanks for the insight.

I ended up going out to IntrackTires in Queens.

The environment was very chaotic, but my tires where balanced without issues, and my ZCP came out without scratches.

The best I've ever seen is The Wheel Doctor in Yonkers. The owner Derek does all the work himself on a road force balancer - he's extremely meticulous. I watched when he just did four P4S tires for me, and my family has been using him for years. He usually books 1-2 weeks out. He's worth the $$, but you're paying for that level of service.
