Long weekend update

I haven't done a ton of driving but I do think that the Rouge Pulleys have seemed to possibly reduced some PS pump noise? Maybe it's just in my head but I feel like I hear less noise. Not sure it's even possible but that's been my perception. If they've added any power I can't really say it's super noticeable. Maybe in 1-2 gears. Maybe a tad easier to rev match on downshifts.

I did get up to Atlanta Motorsports Park the Friday after Thanksgiving to do a little specating and was able to take my son with me. Perfect weather so strapped the car seat in the M3 and went for a good drive. I forgot how much I love to be at the track. It has definitely reminded me of the itch. Between the weather and just getting to take my little guy it was a great day. I'm really hoping to do 2-3 events in 2021.

Any of friends also know that I can't ever just leave something alone. I've always had a lot of different thoughts on wheels for this car and recently picked up some new ones from classifieds.

Forgeline GA3R - 18x10 +25 with 275/35/18 RE71R

This particular wheel has always been one of my favorites. The price was right and it let me try a few things out I've wondered....1. How do black wheels look on the car and 2. How does the square wheel setup feel. I can say that I like the unique finish more than I thought I would. The square setup feels the same on the street and even pushed a little which probably shouldn't be a huge surprise. I imagine it will take near the limit driving to really find the difference in feel of my previous 265/295 setup vs 275 square. I bought these with the intention of just trying and possibly resizing one pair to an 11" wheel and going back to the 265/295. I'm still not 100% decided which way I'll go. I'll also very likely send the centers to Forgeline to refinish in their Silver or Gold. I do also really like the idea of having one size wheel/tire and getting the ability to rotate a little.

I will note that I do have some rubbing I didn't have before. I think it's more due to overall diameter than width as this setup is generally identical. I am running 10f/12r spacers. The 10mm front is absolutely required to clear the brakes, the rear clears fine with no spacer. My car does have a lot of caster which I think is where some of the front rubbing is coming in. I may try to reduce this a little on my next alignment.

I still have my RIA setup and I think I'll be tossing them back on for a few to run around with and test the alternate look again. A few other parts in the works too that I should have near future.

Once I do my next emissions test which will be Feb. 2021 I'll pick up test pipes and the Epic Stage 2 tune. This will at least me not worry about it for 11 months before I figure out if I can pass as is or will need to swap the primary cats back on. I've had an itch for some more sound and I'm still really not sure which exhaust I ultimately want to do.

Long overdue for an update. Life's been busy but I still got it. Fresh alignment and tags renewed. No big list of things I want to change around on the car this year so I should have lots more time to actually drive it.

Also added Mjunkee armrest. My car had a PSDesign one when I got it and this particular one is significantly nicer/more OE like.

This was the inspiration for my car! Looks great as it sits now. I commend you on a super quality build!

I finally got a chance to get the car out for a real drive now that it's completely setup and doesn't need a thing. This was probably my first true drive in the car since buying it 18 months ago where it's been setup exactly how I I've wanted. It felt the best it ever has and aside from it needing to make more noise I couldn't complain.

Tail of the Dragon is only 3 hours from my house so over the weekend I went up Sunday and drove a few of the good roads heading there, out and back on the Dragon, and then a new one coming home.

Done! I guess I'm not so new here anymore. I'm super happy with the pictures, especially the farther away rear shot. It's so rare you get photos from that distance from any of the photographers out there.

I make sure to tell him this at least every week via text. With all of the other heavy hitting parts, it just says "no fluff."

Still driving and enjoying the car when I can. I'm currently chasing some on brake vibration that's awfully annoying. I need to try and bed in the pads again and double check everything on the suspension.

I did finally get an exhaust on the car again and it's so good to have sound out of the S65. It might be a bit louder than I was looking for but it has a great sound. Full Supersprint - Front pipes with high flow cats (looks like they use 100 cell HJS cats), non-resonated X-pipe, and F1 Race rear mufflers. It seems they've updated the mufflers so that the tips are now adjustable instead of fixed like they used to come. This would let it easily work on E90 or E92 without a different part number.

To go along with the new exhaust I also have an updated tune from Epic. The little added punch is very nice. I really don't feel like the car needs any more power than where it is now. I'd still love to do 4.10s and reduce the weight another 100-150lbs.

Still getting the car out when I can. I wanted to try and get a good fall drive up in the mountains. Weather wasn't the greatest but I logged right around 400 miles, pulling into the garage at exactly 4000 miles since buying the car.
This thing does just eat up miles in a way no other car I've previously owned has.

Recently swapped the original trunk over to the car and installed the painted high click spoiler just to try out a different look. I like it but far prefer the GTS wing look.

Agreed looks quite clean and simple with the performance spoiler. But the GTS wing is it
