Those were quality GESi cats. What were you aiming for by removing them? Likely no effect on power, just volume, rasp, and smell.

Haven't updated in a while. Car got a complete 3 step paint correction and entire car + wheels ceramic coated carpro cquartz uk3.0. Carolina Auto Salon. Owner is a huge bmw guy, pleasure to speak to very humble guy.

This was after washing

Some progress pics

Next day finished

Going to get some film applied in certain areas this week. Ready to take the car back out on the track and get more comfy with the car.

Car looks so good! Every time I see pictures it makes me want to prioritize shaving the reflectors up front.

Took a trip to Georgia on Saturday to purchase a Harrop SC from a fellow M3post member //Steve\\. Thought I'd end up with this kit much further down the line in ownership but I could just not pass it up.

Started installing the same day. Here's a pic with the stock manifold/plenum off. It was fun to work on this car and get to learn some of the ins and outs of it. Got through about this much on Saturday.

On Sunday I had the blower mounted.

And the belts routed and installed. The tensioner on the main belt side tricked me for a second, thought it was just an idler for a bit. Like how do you fit this belt over it?! Lol.

How I left it for the evening. Just had to put the cowl/cabin filter plastics and bumpers back on.

Received tune on Monday and have been so far pleased with it.

Took a trip to Georgia last weekend just to hang out, cabin fever is real. OK, I had car stuff to install. Got some side skirt extensions to put on.

Starting the day off right.

In process. The sides are stupid easy to remove. Why the "screws" on the bottom are plastic makes no sense to me though....

Lunch break. Soo good.

OTW back home I destroyed the lip on hwy, huge bridge to road transition. Funny because I was contemplating raising the car the day before but ended up not doing so.

Got back home and had a much needed wash.

I had a challenge lip that got destroyed as well. It sits way too low on lowered cars. I now have a GT4 and ground clearance is MUCH better.

Thanks for the insight. Yeah I may get another lip but def don't want a challenge style anymore. I looked at GT4 too, it sits higher but I was also worried about it because it 'sticks out' a lot more.

I don't go up or down steep ramps, so I don't have issues with the protrusion. My challenge lip would scrape almost every drive I went somewhere, the GT4 scrapes rarely. It's also much thicker than the Challenge lip so durability is much better. Def recommend!

Finally got to stretch her legs on track. For my skill level the Extreme Contact Sports held up very well. Only second time out with the car on track. The s/c, wheels, and tires were all new this time around. Awesome day at the track and definitely built up confidence lap by lap. This car is so fun to track
