Thanks for sharing, Adrian. Good info. I love the idea of a tire that wears like a street tire with better dry grip than an NT01. The question is whether it will take heat-cycle abuse like an NT01 or not.

Also, sorry if I missed it, but I assume you are running the 11" et44 EC-7? Effectively 11" et29 with the 15mm spacer?

The micro-chunking on the inner tread block is interesting. Might be a groove of doom in its infancy

Yes, I'm running a 15mm spacer. I believe a 12mm spacer would also work just fine. (After installing these on the car last week, I drove down the street to my local gas station, where I realized that I had not installed one of the 15mm spacers. I drove back slowly but still there was 0 rubbing.)

I have no idea what to expect from these tires, as this is my first time running them. Sessions 2 and 3, I was pushing the car to its (or my) limit chasing a GT3, and there was a little bit of sliding here and there as I over drove a couple of times.

It does look like the A052's wear differently then the NT01. I don't recall any micro-chunking on the NT01.

This is what my last set of rear NT01's looked like

3 sessions and you're almost down to the wear bars??

Do you think theses tires would fit on Apex Arc8 wheels 9.5/10.5" front to rear?
I'd like to try these tires too.

Keep in mind they are only 6/32's new (vs. 8+ for most other 200 tw tires). My guess is that they'd fit your wheels but would be a bit pinched (especially the rears) since the tires have a 10" and 11.2" tread width respectively.

I tend to be somewhat hard on tires, so perhaps the wear is slightly excessive. That said, I should have a better understating on how many days/sessions I'll get out of these after the next track day.

Pretty much sums it up as far as my thoughts on running these tires on a narrower wheel/s.

I purchased these from my local Discount tire; I don't recall the exact price, but around 1500$ installed. FYI, they will price match.

Nice feedback on the A052. I'm thinking these will be a nice upgrade from the AD08R I'm currently running.

Have you done any street driving on it? At 200TW, I'd assume it is streetable?

Thanks. I didn't see them on TireRack.
These things seem to run pretty wide! Thanks for all the info.

Thanks. I see it now on the right column under streetable track tires.
Just wanted to get an idea how much they run.
Going to be tight on my 9.5/10.5 Arc 8 wheels. Hope it doesn't rub in back.

I have around 150 street miles on these tires, dry weather only. They are quiet enough to where I forgot they were on the car. And, short life aside I think these tires are very usable on the street. But I have no idea I how they would behave in the wet/rain.

I would NOT recommend running a 295/30/18 A052 on a 10" wide wheel. You need a wider wheel.

For a 10" wide wheel, assuming you want to stay with the A052 tire, I would recommend 265/35/18 as it will be properly supported.

Agreed 100%. See below for a pic of the 295/30/18 A052 on a 10.5" wheel. It would be overflowing on a 10" and the performance would suffer. I typically use an 11" wheel with this tire but tried them on a 10.5 to run them square.

The biggest challenge you will have is fitting them in the front. I recommend 10.5 et22 for front fitment. However success depends on the inner clearance with your suspension. Best case you won't need a spacer if you have short springs and no helper springs - putting your perch above the tire. If you don't have that level of front clearance then you will need a 10mm spacer and close to -4 front camber. I happen to have 2 sets of new square BBS RIA in 10.5 et22 if you are interested. One pair of new 295 A052 are installed.

With 11" front fitment is going to be even tougher. In rear I recommend 11 et28 with a 295/30/18 A052. That's the spec I run with E88's in the rear (with 265/35/18 A052 in the front). PM me for more info

I want to try these tires but they're a bit pricey!
TireRack has the A048 295 on killer deal now.

Completely different tire. The a048 is very old compared to the a052. A048 was very much a R compound from back in the day - high grip and it will need to warm up before it will work. It will not last as long as a A052.

Thanks ZK.

Has anyone tried the 295/35-18 in back? You guys think I'll rub on APEX 10.5 x 18 wheels with et27? Lowered on coilovers.
