I'm the second owner that bought it at 29k miles, always garaged, never see rain or snow, meticulously maintained with full service records from local BMW expert, clean/excellent Blackstone oil report since purchase in 2016. Original TA and rod bearings. No mods, never track/race/redline.

GLWS OP!! Brushed aluminum trim paired with the two-tone black/palladium interior is an extremely nice spec in person. Looks especially great with silverstone.

I test drove a few 3 pedals before I bought this one, couldn't get over the not so smooth shift, can't beat the smoothness of the DCT in Houston traffic!

Agreed. Everything I read about shifter being notchy is true. It's a tricky manual to drive well.

Makes sense why I read "hardcore manual guys" preferring DCT...

How can you prove it has never been redlined? I think that would actually add tremendous value but hard to prove?

You'd have to assume seller was being facetious with his comment that he never redlined; or he meant it more as "not driven overly aggressively," or that he never bounced it off the rev limiter or took it past redline.

Or not, only the seller knows.

But the entire point of this car is to take it to redline, as the NA engine builds power the higher up in the rev range you go, as opposed to many other non-sports cars and turbocharged cars. Even the F8x and G8x were engineered to make their engines build power like traditional NA cars, despite their turbocharged baseline.

Actually I'm not being facetious, I just don't have the need to rev the engine close to redline during in town driving. I have the blackstone report from every oil change since I own the car that shows very clean/normal to little metal shavings if that helps.
