Yellowing spots on carbon fiber roof??

These just showed up, and it's underneath the clear coat... it's not like I can wipe them away or buff them out. Anyone ever seen this?

If it has turned yellow under the clear, then it's probably a discoloration throughout the matrix of the resin and unfortunately you may not be able to do a heck of a lot with it.

i have the same. i'm pretty sure they are rock chips that compromised the resin and now its starting to take a dump.

It's clear coat damage... it'll need stripping and sanding then reclearing. The longer you leave it, it'll penetrate down to the resin and leave a light shadow after you have it refinished.

Mine has been redone.. it has a nice California "golden tan" tinge to it now... the shadowing from previous spots is tough to point out in artificial light but outside if I look closely I can see it. I had a buddies body shop redo mine. Ask locally if anyone had done carbon fiber work before, some shops will shy away.

Did you replace your rubber trim at the same time as well?
