DCT paddle not working after paddle swap

I changed my paddles and now my upshift paddle does not work. The downshift paddle works fine. The knob works fine.

I re-did the install and it started working intermittently but has stopped again. So I opened it up again and cleaned the gold contacts. It is still not working though.

Any ideas?

The contact patch needs to be raised ever so slightly in order to touch. You may have put pressure on it when removing and replacing it during the swap.

It only requires a miniscule amount of pressure to flatten it. Remove it again and have it flair up just a little. It will fix the problem.

not to mention that the paddles have some dielectric grease applied on the ends of them to make it click smooth with the small bearing ball. You should clean the contacts with some isopropyl alcohol and a qtip.
