From what I understsand most second hand car dealers work towards an approx 10% gain off the price they paid for the vehicle, perhaps dealerships have a bit more leeway with the mark ups/downs based on other factors given they have a bit more scale

Cheers for the link. I am thinking of maybe upgrading the 335i to an M3 and know you'd look after yours. Looks nice but I aren't sure about the alloys, which ones are they as they don't look like Csl's?

My old E90 M3 is up for sale at the moment with the stealers at a £2K markup. Good luck with selling your car Zero - its a very striking colour and rare like you said. The M3 used to be a decent car for resale because of its iconic status and class leading dynamics/engines but in the current climate lots of performance cars are really being hit hard. Some 3 year old E9xM3's are already dropping below 8 year old E46 M3 CSL prices now.I would hold out for a few months - next summer the E92 M3 goes out of production with no new m3 due until late 2013/2014 - prices may pick up.

OK Lads - Really need it sold, starting new job on 12th December and it will just sit outside a train station getting a 4 mile each way drive (not even enough to warm up properly)..
So, I'm going down the two car route, a cheap car to part at the train station, will consider diesels etc.. and a Caterham Superlight K Series or R300 as my toy. Price now reduced to £35,995.00 Piston Heads Add.. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3293964.htm Last edited by Zero7; 11-22-2011 at 12:18 PM.. Reason: price |

I'm really surprised it hasn't sold yet. It' a marmite colour so there must be a number of buyers that want the colour. Now that the new 3 series looks similar to the current model (in the pics anyway) and the current M3 will be withdrawn from sale sometime in 2012, I'd like to think prices would firm up and you'd get a fair price for it. But alas, I can't see the economic situation improving until at least 2014.
