Out Of Province Inspection BC
Hi,
Can a catless e9x m3 pass the OOP inspection in BC? My assumption is that nowhere in Canada has smog tests. But apparently the cats need to be visible. Is this true? If anybody has recommendation for a shop that passes without then please forward in dm. There is no increased emissions error on the dash. It's tuned. Thank you |

In Quebec, to pass the inspection, the car must be like oem and safe, so still have deflectors, stock height, not worn tires, good condition brakes, seatbelts, if the car has 2 cats, they still need to have them, no burnt bulbs... They do not check exhaust decibels or window tints.

That sounds similar to the inspections in BC, not sure if they'd notice if say you have the primary cats deleted but still have the secondary ones in place, though it's kinda obvious from simply taking a look under the car. But to add to the comment above, I have also heard of failed inspections as a result of illegal tints.
