They're discussing it and getting back to me with a solution. I called and basically pointed out that I had installed them correctly, used them correctly, and that 6 track days later they were gone. If they want to send me a better solution, OK. Otherwise, since I bought them directly, I'm happy to contact Visa.

Anyone in the market for a coolshirt System?

I am pulling out my 13qt System. Will come with cooler, wiring, good amount of hose, heat deflector Mat, and mounting tray, and cool-la-clava (never on hair). 1 1/2 season of use. Like new.

Retail was: $589 plus tax.

Asking $400 Shipped.

No, no peripheral destruction. The fender liners had to be modified to install them, but that's not hurting anything until I don't get a replacement.

What's everybody's favorite HANS setup? While I see it frequently "discussed", I'm not finding a lot of usable conclusions.

An interesting aside. Until she gets back out on the track with an instructor, my wife is strangely happy to daily a compromised car. I don't understand why she seems to enjoy short gears, darty street handling, extra noise, and uncomfortable ride, but she seems to enjoy daily-ing it more every time I take away some of the luxury. I'm aware that this is strange. I don't even like to drive the M3 on the street much. She could drive a 991 or a big Lexus instead and keeps driving the M3 (and asking how soon we can put coilovers on).

Now that I've written that, I'm sorta suspicious.
She sounds like a keeper!

HANS Sport 3 if you already have harnesses (or are going the harness route). The Schroth Flex SHR might work better if you have a big chest, otherwise get the traditional HANS.

Simpson Hybrid is an interesting alternative if you have 3-point belts or are doing instructing and jumping from car to car.

First time back at GingerMan for a few years, and first time in the Vette. PB was 1:40.63, and Pi Toolbox indicates my theoretical fastest for the day was about 1:40.1. I know there's even more time to be had. Another Grand Sport, the Z06, and a Cayman GT4 and I were all dead-even for this session and having a blast, as you can see in the video.

V max: 131.7
Lat G max: 1.39

My tire wear was MUCH improved with Fall-Line's alignment spec and their advice to bump cold pressures up 1-2 psi.

That Z06 is either a terrible driver or the car is allergic to corner apexes.

Also that pass at 8:00 seemed odd. Was it OK to pass in a corner with no point-by?

Thanks. The Hybrid is super tempting, but I think in the occasions I don't have harnesses, I'll have airbags... The Hybrid looks like it might be otherwise less comfortable, especially in the heat.

No doubt about that! If there's no one to keep you in check, bye-bye.... uh, check?

I love my Necksgen Rev. Low profile and don't even notice it when I'm in the car.

I use the Simpson HANS III (the new one, with the rear cut-out to reduce weight), with the Button anchors. It's the traditional style. Head movement on track is not an issue, but in the pits it can be. Backing up is sort of a pain as you can't check blind spots.

I like it well enough. You know how big I am, so the chest mounted ones wouldn't really work for me.

"It was at this moment dparm knew... he fucked up." At least the other guy seemed aware enough not to run wide.

He got the point-by, probably just hard to see on the video. The PDR camera struggles when it's overcast like that. I agree the pass was a tad late, but it was advanced group and the last session so they were being lenient.

You are right though, after rewatching that video I can see that the Z06 is not consistently getting close to the apexes on the corners. Might explain why his times were within a half-second of mine despite being up 200hp and having better aero.

Fall-Line's alignment and advice to bump cold pressures 1-2psi did the trick. These things wore quite well after their first track day. The depth is also consistent across the face of all four. This is a huge win for my wallet.
