Two different BMW managers told me that as they were as surprised as me of this late first ED date...

Well that sucks about the MY '12s delayed to October ED.

I'm pretty set on doing ED the weekend of Sept 16th, the 'Ring is open to the public all weekend, Oktoberfest starts and I'd like to get in there before it gets too cold!

The first ED date for MY2012 pickup of October 15th is so far tentative as MY2012 emission certificate has not been finalized yet, according to BMW. I'm trying to get my MY2012 E92 M3 ED for Sept 22th if BMW/Individul can circunvent the USA regulations as the car will be delivered in Europe, so by the time it gets back in the USA whatever certification required should be finalized by then.

The MY2011 E92/E93 M3 Individual editions for the USA started production this month, so they should be ready for late June/early July introduction. No specific details yet, other than the M Peformance steering wheel in Alcatara will be part of this edition.
You have such great information! Thank you!

I think it depends on the airline. I know for American, Oct 15th is the start of the off-peak season.

So I see from www.worldcarfans.com that BMW is building that E90 M3 CSL and calling it a 2012MY...
I wonder if they will decide to also make a short run of USA spec'ed E90 M3s instead of calling it a day after 7/11?
