Seeking specifically this thread's advice:
I am very tight with my shop and have 11k miles left on my warranty. I'm at 114k now Can you think of anything I should try to have done under warranty? My shop is incredible at convincing the warranty company to do things. I think I've had $10000 paid out already. |

those with 2010+ cars with a/c delete and an electric power steering pump- do you retain the steering reservoir or does that mercedes electric pump everyone uses replace it?

I use these, they dont screw onto the liter Motul DCTF bottles I use but they do the job and disposable. Just take care not to knock the bottle over.

The regular car part stores sell similar ones. This "fluid transfer" pump works pretty quickly which is nice when the engine is running and the exhaust is millimeters from burning your face. I did my Slon DCT pan install on those Jackpoint jackstands that fluid pump saved the day compared to those shampoo dispenser pumps which I hate. Worked great with the diff fluid change as well.

Overall it was just a fun event. More spectators than club racing and a good group of organizers and competitors. |

Diff was the big ticket item I wanted to get done. Would absolutely love to have a fresh diff for my $300 deductible.
How can I test the diff to see if it's loose or clunky? Car is no stranger to being sideways so the diff gets plenty of action. I'm also 50k+ on my current accessory belt so I was thinking having them do a tensioner or something and supplying my own under drive pulley for them to do while they're at it. I put new SAF+XJ in about 15k ago and that eliminated all of the groaning (PO put some neon green gear oil in there), I'll try jacking it up by the diff housing and see if either of the flanges seem loose.
