Comfort Loading with CA and Alarm?
Hey guys, I recently upgraded my 2008 E90 335i to a 2010 E93 M3, and couldn't be happier. I was really excited to find out that the E93 has a "comfort loading" option like the Mercedes SL series, which I have had a little experience with...and it greatly increases usability while the top is down. However, when I tap the trunk button then hold it down as directed in the manual, all that happens is my alarm goes off.
Am I doing something wrong? Is my timing off? Can anyone help? Thanks!

As I recall it, the timing of the push is tricky (I don't have CA, so I can't comment first hand). Search E90post for early comments from E93 335i owners about this (i.e old posts). You may find some help there.

You need to tap, then hold down the unlock button.

You have to hold down the trunk button on the remote for about a second to pop open the trunk. If you hold the trunk button for 3 seconds, then you activate the panic alarm. Kind of ridiculous because if you are in a panic, who is going to remember to take the time to look at the remote to be sure they press and hold the trunk button on the remote.
