Bay Area Shops For KW HAS Install

Hi all, I’m looking for some shop recommendations to install KW Height Adjustable Springs on my car in the Bay Area - preferably in the north bay if possible. I’ve contacted 4 shops already, 3 of which said they wouldn’t install customer provided parts, and 1 quoted $1000+. I’ve looked around the forums and it looks like most people end up spending $400-600 depending on labor rates. Hopefully one of you can point my in the direction of a shop that can do quality work for an honest price. I can do the job if I have to, but I’d rather not if I can avoid if for less than $1000 LOL. Thanks in advance!

They want to make money on the parts and labor. You will notice the rates are extremely high here, so my recommendation is to do as much as you can on your own.

Labor rates are expensive as the previous poster mentioned, try to do it yourself. It's not a huge job, with a friend and the right tools you could do it in a weekend for the first time.

Otherwise Autobahn Automotive in Santa Rosa have worked on my car.

VT Motorworks in Pleasanton. Matt and Wing are great. $750 to install my Ohlins kit, including the alignment.

You should probably specify where in the Bay Area you are.

it should not be hard to find shop to install for below 1K. I personally trust TrackSpec more cuz they also have alignment machine to go together

Another +1 to VT.

Bavarian Professionals is a place a rec. Got an exhaust installed there. I provided it.

I'd also check Elite Performance.

If you don't mind the drive, I would call Neal at The Racer's Line in Concord, CA. He is a long time friend of mine, but also 1 of 2 shops that I exclusively trust with all my cars. He's done work from installing/tuning my Turbocharged FR-S years ago, service and installations on both my Cayman S and 911 S, and I just installed my KW HAS with him last month on the M3.

A little further south, I also take my cars to Silicon Valley Bimmer, as specialists for all things BMW, they are more than capable of installing the HAS kit plus much more if you need.
