ARP Bolts for Rod Bearings ?

I'm a long time N54 / 335i owner. We are having a small debate about using ARP bolts when redoing the rod bearings on an N54.

Some are saying to not use them because they distort the rod ends from being too tight. There's a big thread on this on Spool Street

I caught a video on YouTube of a guy that used them and we have been taking about it. His car is fine almost 2 years later. He torqued then to 36# using three separate stages to get to an eventual 36#. He started at 10, 20 then finally at 36.

He said the rods are forged, which they are, so distortion shouldn't happen.

You guys do rod bearings all the time in your cars. Many of you have used ARP bolts.

So, what's your take?
