primary cat removal (test pipes) from what I understand counts as stage 2.
i'm not sure burbles will negatively impact the secondary low cell count cats |

If you are asking how it works, he will send you software for your laptop so he can connect in, and a different cable that is used for coding. There are a ton of coding options depending on what you are after and want to accomplish, as well as the GTS DCT tune that is done this way.
That said, I had him do the remote DCT tune, but all my other coding I have done myself.

My car is going into limp mode and I have to bring it in to the dealer. I'm re-installing the original file. How do I remove the GTS DCT tune or do i just leave it and the dealer won't notice?

It would have to be coded back to oem. Unless you are getting transmission related codes, they won't know the difference.

For the motor tune you can put back to stock yourself but the DCT you'll need to contact me to put it back to stock

To go back to OEM tune, do you just do the flash first file? Need to smog.

It doesn't feel any slower, that's odd. How do I confirm I did it properly? lol I also haven't driven the car for 3 months, but it's not like I've been driving with no go.

Hi there.
I have been running Alex's tunes since ~6 month now. Started with e85 st1, now running e85 st2 ( full decat ) I'm really happy with the overall power. The only thing I still need to tackle is the misfires I get below ~3k RPMS The car has 8 new sparkplugs, new/old mixed coils, 2 new lambda sensors, 8 exhaust manifold gaskets where replaced. Misfires are reported on all 8 cylinders, it is misfiring so bad that I had once the limping while trying to gain some speed while changing lanes from slow traffic. Unfortunately I can't get BMW Logger to connect to the DME. Code reading is OK, but can't do live data log. Are you guys able to connect BMW Logger to the DME with the tune installed ? |

Haven't jumped into this thread in awhile but just wanted to bump the positive feedback.
I've ran alex's engine and dct tune on my track/racecar now for about 2-ish years and it's been a beauty. I had a random inquiry on detuning the car and Alex is amazing at prompt responses. We're talking 12 or so track weekends, so about 24 track days which include primarily time trial/time attack but also the occasional instructor sessions to take my students out. Everything runs perfectly smoooth. I also drive my car to/from the track!
