DCT: getting into D1 after reversing?
I find it annoying that sometimes after I reverse my car and I need to quickly get back into drive mode, but the car will get into Manual 1 instead of Drive 1.
Do those who have DCT have this issue? Is the car suppose to be programmed to go into Manual 1 or Drive 1 on first toggle to the right? |

Mine goes to either D3 or S3. Mostly S3. It's seems to be random. I'm not sure what it's programmed to do.

How recent is your software version? I had mine updated last week (side effect of alarm coding) and it's much faster now. It was like an eternity before (that was with last last December's version), but it's much faster.

I have noticed that if i have been driving it around in D then reverse, when i put it back it will go into D. Like wise if i was in S, or if i have not been driving it around in D very long.

Mine just goes back to whatever I had it in prior to me putting it in reverse; if S then back to S, if D then back to D. Mine is an '09 and I do not have the latest software.

In any case, the fact that you mention "sometimes" makes me think that you are experiencing a similar (though, slightly different, from your description) buggy behavior that myself and a few others are. Quote:
