Replaced the ESS tuning recirculating valve with Vortechs Race BOV

Just thought some of you would like to see what its like when swapping the recirculating valve on any ESS kit with a vent to atmosphere valve BOV.

10 Min Review with driving

If you dont have 10 mins heres a 10 second clip of just the BOV sound

Personally I love it and think the kit should have came with this!

Install video is here, note that this is for a TIAL bov. I am using a different one now which info can be found in the video description.

How bad is it with DCT? That’s my only concern.

Not bad at all, If you are constantly revving the car out it might get a little annoying but DD Duty its no issues whatsoever

Is there any adjustment needed for the surge? Or is this normal?

I also got that sound on the recirculating version. Just wanna make sure.

I was wondering the same after watching your revving video. That sounds like flutter/surge on the compressor.

Happens on the stock valve supplied by ESS Tuning also.

I backed off the spring all the way when checking the tension.

That’s amazing. The amazon link one is simply plug and play for an ESS VT2-625?

No you have to block off the recirculating port first.

that fluttering sound does not sound normal, the few cars i've heard in person do not sound like that, mine did when I did not have the vacuum line connected correctly to the bypass valve.
