Not sure if that color is going to look right on an e92 M3.

Lol, well when i saw it on pic i loved it. But ive seen it on a E46 , and no way josé it looks to cheap , i think.
But still, its not ugly at all... Just not my kind of food

It's definitely a completely different direction for me -- every last one of my cars has been silver or gray -- but for some reason IB just clicked with me. I saw it and fell in love.

i posted this already, but this PS is definitely estoril blue. LSB is not a metallic paint, and it not this light. The fact that is came out looking like estoril is probably because it was PS'd on SSII.

I am definitely interested. Damn, an estoril sedan might look really sick!!!!!!!!!

What's the process to get something like this started Will, and what's the turn around time?

I don't want to rain on the parade, but it's as good as impossible to get an Estoril Blue M3 E9x (by BMW) nowadays, no matter where in the world you are. It is said to meet environmental standards no more.

Best regards, south

I work at a BMW store in MA and we delivered a Dakar Yellow coupe about a month ago. The guy traded his Dakar '06 E46 M3 for it. I believe it took about 9 months to get and $5K for the paint. We were told that BMW needed to get 3 orders for Dakar to bother with it. It looked pretty sick with the carbon roof. Interior was black.

I have heard this before as well and it is absolutely BS if it is true. Its freakin paint!!!! What is it supposed to do...be edible to babies, water crops?!!! How the hell does paint meet or not meet environmental standards? It has always been my dream to have an Estoril M. It was smashed when they didnt offer it on the E46 M3 and I didnt know it could be custom ordered, and now this possibly..... Sad sad sad.

That PY sounds very interesting. If I decided to order, would my dealer be able order me one or would I have to get it from you?

remember those vivid yellow and orange colors from the 70's? They were full of lead which is why they went away for so long. Until Dupont and the rest worked out how to do the same colors with non-toxic water based paint. So yes, its 'just paint' but not paint' you or I want to use.

To be honest I dont care.... Im not sittin there eating my paint. There are plenty of things out there that will kill me before I worry about paint on my car.

You could tell me its made from plutonium....I still want a damn Estoril Blue M3 dammit!!!!

My M3 is scheduled for production in week 40 (last week of Sep/1st week of Oct).

Not everyone may like LSB or TV, but the individual colors aren't about appealing to the masses. They're about making an individual customer very, very happy.
TLud - well said.

Congrats! You should have extra reason to be thankful by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. I think I speak for many when I say that we eagerly anticipate pics!
