Oil pressure issues
Car had a busted oil cooler, replace the cooler and getting the low oil pressure light. Cars has 9.5 litre of oil replace the pressure switch issues remain the same. Use an oil pressure gauge to check pressure and zero pressure car runs with the normal V8 sound not abonormal knocking. Any suggestion will be appreciated of what could be my issue and I’m not getting no oil reading

First, it is very unwise to run an engine you suspect has zero oil pressure. The oil pressure reading is taken directly from the main oil gallery. If there's no pressure there and you're running the engine several times with various sensors and mechanical gauges trying to get a reading you're just destroying the bearings and are going to ruin your engine, if you haven't already.
I'd first have a qualified technician familiar with these S65's check the filter housing and its thermostat, check valve, etc for blockages etc. If there's no problems there to impede flow then it'll be with the oil pump(s) and you'll need to drop the subframe and oil pan to investigate further. |
