H&R Spacer Fitment and Bolt Lengths?
Was looking at some H&R spacers, but for some reason the ECS website doesn't list H&R's 12mm spacers as a fit for the E92 M3.
For black versions, H&R site (http://trakplus.com) says: 15mm: 3075725SW 12mm: 2475725SW ECS site says: 15mm: 3075725SW (says these fit) 12mm: 2475725SW (inconclusive, but 99% sure these will work right?) Can someone confirm that this is the right H&R part? Also, what 12x1.5 wheel bolt length do I need for the 15mm front and 12mm rear set up? I'm currently running stock 19" 220 style wheels. 15mm = Need 43mm length bolts? 12mm = Need 39mm length bolts? Thanks! |

I know in the end it is the same company ... But buy your H&R's (or their house brand)
from Turner Motorsport

Thanks, I think they just have the part # matching off as I can find the direct part numbers via search.
Does anyone know the correct bolt length? Stock bolts are 25mm and everything I have read says to use simple math of existing bolt length plus spacer width, so seems I would need 40mm bolts for the front and 37mm bolts for the rear. However, the Turner site packages come with 43mm bolts for the front and 39 for the rear. Does 2mm extra length really make a difference? |

Yes, order from the Apex site. I just placed an order yesterday for 2 12mm spacers (in black), 8 regular bolts and 2 locking bolts to fit the 12 mm spacers. Was super easy to order on their website since it explains everything clearly.
I got shipping notification less than 12 hours later that they were shipped out too. |

Thanks for the feedback, I checked all over ECS, Turner and FCP Euro sites and can't seem to find the bolt lengths I need, so will need to order them from Apex. Stupid that sites like Turner specifically say to add the stock bolt length measurement + spacer and that is your new bolt length. BMW bolts are mostly 25mm and none of the sites I mention above carry 40mm and 37mm lengths in black color (I have black 220m wheels) to accomodate 12mm and 15mm spacers.
I read that H&R spacer materials are better than what Apex and ECS use, i.e., stronger and lighter. Apex, ECS, Macht Shnell, etc. all use 6061-T6. Figure for similar price might as well go H&R? |
