Removal of SRS module

I'm trying to have my airbag lights coded out and was told that to do so I need to remove the SRS module. Has anybody done this?

If so, I'd appreciate any advice on location and removal. The only information I was able to find was this thread:

Is it the same process for our cars?

You do not have to remove the SRS module to code out the airbag lights...I had them coded out with the module still connected however once I disconnected the module the lights did come back but I am sure they can be coded out again...location should be where your handbrake is located under the center console.

Hey Guys I was in an Accident and the airbags deployed. I have since replaced the airbags, but how would I reset the module without removing it?
