South Florida photo shoot meet up on June 1st

Hey everybody, we are planning a meet up on Sunday June 1st (weather permitting) for a photo shoot by the ocean and dinner afterwards, everybody is welcome to join us.

Man I am not sure where we can go to be close to the water, I have done some shots at a dock next to Parrot Jungle but not sure if that is the best place to do it (see picture taken there a few months back), I think we can find better spots, Trevor may know where we can go

I'm in! I'm going to ask around , i've seen a spot by the bridge that it might work, and we can always go for a drive , thats not a problem!

i guess we can either do first thing in the morning or afternoon, because on the 1st we probably should see high 90F around 1pm

maybe we can have lunch around 2-3pm and do the photo-shoot after lunch when the temp cools down

that sounds good, just checked the weather and we have a 86high with 25% chances of raining.

one more M3 to the roll call, it is calscooby with his san marino blue E93, also have another friend with whom I ride in our Ducati's and he is pro photographer, he drives a X6M and wants to join us but he pointed out that the worst time for a photoshoot is the mid-afternoon due to the harsh sun, the best time for photography would be around 6pm, don't know if this will be too late for some of you guys, of course if it is overcast that day none of this matters

I'm OK for pretty much the whole day on Sunday, June 1st ... I agree that either really early or around 5-7pm would be the best times (we could maybe even catch some sunrise/sunset shots) ... Maybe we can all grab a late lunch down by the water somewhere, and then do the shoot late-afternoon? Thoughts?

Just to clarify, thanks Edu but I am by no means a pro. Just a hobby.

That spot in the other thread by the yachts looks like Miami Riverwalk. I've never been there but it looks pretty awesome. He must have parked the car and shot from US1 which runs above that area:

If we end up going to Watson Island, bring some microfiber towels to wipe any dirt from your fenders as the entrance is through a dirt section of a broken fence.

And hey a drive between those two locations is pretty short.

Hey David, what I meant was that you are like a pro if we compare your photography skills with mine...
Now I see that Watson Island is the spot where I got those previous pictures of my car, yes there is a dirt section to access the dock

So just to clarify, that shot in the flickr account with the two bikes (panoramic type shot) is watson island? Those night shots are incredible man, we should definitely shoot around 6-8ish to get those city lights in the background.


Since the drive is short, is everyone OK with going to both spots? (Miami riverwalk, as well as watson island?)

^ +1, I'm 100% with TrevorM3 ... Maybe we can eat at those cafés on Ocean Dr. right in South Beach? All our M3's there, LOL ... This is gonna be great guys!! EPIC!!!
