"HOWGOZIT" Call from BMWNA
Just got a call from BMWNA to see how things are going with our new e90 purchase, and to ask if we had any suggestions for improvements. The rep tells me that this call is placed to ALL new BMW owners (regardless of model). Just wondering if any of you had received this call yet?
FWIW, my recommendations were: 1) Make voice command features work with Sirius, i.e. say "Channel Twenty Four" and you automatically switch to Sirius Disorder. This function works with FM radio. 2) Program a simple "Go Home" voice command for the Nav, so that the system automatically Starts Guidance to the Home Address. 3) In Nav, don't present the "Start Guidance" option until the House Number cue is presented -- it's easy to forget and start guidance without entering the house number. 4) Enable the door/trunk ajar warnings while the car is stationary - Duh! 5) Enable the Sunroof options with the ignition off.

Never got a call here--took delivery in June. I agree with the sunroof issue though--every other BMW (save the 318i, which was a manual) I've owned allowed you to close the roof with the engine off, as one does with the windows.

I called:
Customer Relations 1-800-831-1117 The person was somewhat helpful. All in all, there's really nothing they can do in terms of dealer's services or lack there of. But you might get a good ear to voice your concerns and the like. |

I got called twice - go figure. Told 'em I wanted the window switches moved back an inch or so, a glovebox that would hold the manual case, and a jack.
I told the car 'Go Home' and woke up in Munich. lol! .

You can change FM presets with voice command? What are the commands?? Is it just for iDrive equipped cars (I know iDrive has more commands).
