So thats how OEM sounds

Have to fix up my modded OEM box so temporary put back my original box. Exhaust sound disappeared...almost. What is left is a gentle but quite lovely little noise. Instead that induction noise comes alive, and together with the wining it makes for a...pretty awesome sound!
4 years since I modded so had forgotten about the original sound, will probably extend a little before the other box goes back on. Variety is the spice of life I guess.

Bit irritating actually Phil. After the mod (done by "proper" exhaust shop), something came loose and started to rattle. Went back, paid them to fix it - they claimed it wasn't their welding - only to start rattle a year after. Only when cold but still ugly. As the box has two layers I believe the inner has come loose somewhere. Thinking of go all in with pop rivets...

Cheers
Nik

I also had the OEM perforated mod done and at first sounded good to me, but was not refined at all.

In retrospect, OEM sounds better IMO.

I switched it up to MPE which sounds exotic to me and never looked back.

Id love to try the MPE out but frankly find it too costly...

Cheers,

Indeed . Our box is double walled . So I'm pretty sure it was a bad weld .

Round 2 I love the OEM sounds. Have no desire to change except need to figure out how to remove the primary cats without making it louder/adding rasp.
