Hi Kevin,
I'm looking to get Swift Spec r springs for my E90 M3. Is E36 bump stops recommended for these springs? Many people are using E36 bump stops with the eibach springs. Just wondering if it's the same for the swift.

We normally dont use the shorter bump stops when we install lowering springs. We havent had issues of the springs bottoming out on the bump stops with the Swifts. You could add the e36 ones up front or trim the factory stops shorter if you wanted to but we havent deemed that to be necessary.

You will absolutely need the E36 bumps and/or shave the front mounts (8mm is the recomendation ala Dinan) if you wish to have enough travel to not be constantly bouncing on the bumps. Has nothing to do with age of shocks other than older shocks controlling rebound even more poorly - it's about length of available bump travel. I first tried just the e36 bumps and it wasn't enough, now I'm shaving the guide mounts as well, though no bump now as I'm on B8s (internal bumpstops).
